The second edition of An Introduction to Canadian Law, part of Emond Montgomery’s Working with the Law series, is written by Philip Sworden. Professor Sworden teaches the Introduction to Canadian Law course, as well as several other courses, including legal research and writing, in the Law Clerk and Court and Tribunal Agent programs a tHumber College. He is a lawyer with a PhD in Canadian History.
An Introduction to Canadian Law is designed for first-year college and university diploma or degree programs such as law and justice, law and society, police foundations, law clerk, court and tribunal agent, paralegal and other justice studies courses. It is also appropriate for other academic disciplines such as business administration, political science, and history.
