The Emond Montgomery Style Guide describes the editorial style imposed on manuscripts published by Emond Montgomery. Its purpose is to ensure consistency in the treatment of manuscripts throughout the production process.
Our house style is based on a variety of sources — major guides to usage such as The Chicago Manual of Style and the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, guides specific to legal disciplines (such as the Canadian Tax Foundation Style Guide), and the experience of many editors over many years. We follow the Emond Montgomery Spelling Guide and the Canadian Oxford Dictionary, 2nd edition in spelling and hyphenation.
