This collaborative effort by Nicola Sutton and Graham Draper
provides a balanced approach to issues in contemporary policing.
Beginning with a brief look at the historical underpinnings of
contemporary policing, the text progresses through comprehensive
discussions of problem solving, community partnerships, crime
prevention models, and implementation. The text concludes with an
evaluation of community policing and various perspectives on its future
in Canada.
