Overview
Emond Montgomery Publications is pleased to announce the arrival of our updated and revitalized landlord and tenant law text
Working with the Residential Tenancies Act, 2nd Edition by John Dickie and David Lyman. The name change to this new edition reflects
the name of the newly enacted Residential Tenancies Act, 2006.
Aimed directly at landlord and tenant courses offered in law clerk and paralegal/court and tribunal agent programs at Ontario colleges, this
student text provides an ideal balance between thoroughness of scope and ease of use. The protection and enforcement of the rights of
both landlords and tenants, as provided in the new Act, is explained in plain language. The procedures involved in disputes and rent review
applications are clearly examined. Students are guided through the process, and learn what they need to know in the real world. The text
will continue to serve students as a valuable reference tool in their future careers working with residential tenancies.
- Prepares students to work both in a supporting role to lawyers, and
independently, representing their own clients with professionalism
and expertise.

hearings, and provides useful forms and precedents.
- Introduces the legal principles applicable to residential tenancies,
and provides practical examples to bring them to life for students.

can understand and easily access all the information provided.
- Includes end-of-chapter review questions to facilitate active learning.
- Includes a teacher's guide that provides the answers to review and
